The stakes are raised even more here than they were in the first one because there are so few players left on the board. Harry Potter is no longer fighting just for himself anymore, but for everyone that has died fighting by his side. He loses people he knows along the way, but gets some unexpected help from new faces along the way. The film even gives us a glimpse of what life was like for Harry without us knowing it had happened at all. The end of the series is a big moment for everyone involved, and this is a closer that respects the fact that the audience has been with these characters all along. The story of "Deathly Hallows Part 2" takes place 18 years after "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". The time now is summer. Harry Potter now knows now Voldemort's secret as well as his original family name, "Potters". He has rejected his Hogwarts letter from Hermione at their six-month anniversary. In order to protect his friends from Voldemort, Harry travels with Ron and Hermione to Godric's Hollow in search of clues on how to destroy Horcruxes. Meanwhile, Ron’s sister Ginny, who has been fighting Death Eaters at Hogwarts with Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood, is kidnapped by Voldemort's forces. At the same time Hermione takes Harry to Grimmauld Place where they stay for a while. There, they learn that Remus Lupin is now a professor at Hogwarts. Later on, they try to break into Gringotts Wizarding Bank for their next Horcrux but are caught by the security system and face Griphook.
